Thank you to the National Lottery and its players.
We’re incredibly proud to announce that Luton Comic Con has been awarded £19,659 by The National Lottery Community Fund. This vital support will help us run free, inclusive, and community-focused events over the next year, starting with our biggest Comic Con on Saturday the 6th September.
Thanks to National Lottery players, we can continue building safe, welcoming spaces where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together, connect, and celebrate creativity. This funding isn’t just for an event, it’s an investment in Luton’s future.

Anti Hate Heroes
Comic cons have long been hubs of inclusion and diversity - spaces where everyone can feel safe, celebrated, and completely themselves. After years of experiencing that energy at conventions across the country, our founder, Wade, saw a powerful opportunity: let’s take that spirit even further here in Luton.
This year, Luton Comic Con isn’t just about fandom - it’s about freedom: to show up as you are, to connect without judgement, and to push back against hate by standing together.
We believe the antidote to hate and division starts with simple, intentional acts of unity - like creating a space where community thrives through difference.
So come ready to feel seen, safe, and supported - and leave with tools, insights, and inspiration to grow as an ally, build peace, and stand strong against hate in your everyday life.
