Luton Comic Con Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is it free to attend?
Yes! Luton Comic Con is a free, community-led event. We believe no one should be priced out of having fun, expressing themselves, or finding their people.
What makes Luton Comic Con different from other conventions?
We're not run by a corporate machine. We’re run by real people, for real people – right here in Luton.
No overpriced tickets
No exclusive VIP zones
No gatekeeping
Just a day of creativity, cosplay, gaming, art, community vibes, and celebrating heroes who fight hate.
Do I have to dress up?
Not at all – but you’re more than welcome to!
Whether you’re Deadpool, Princess Peach, or “that guy in the hoodie who showed up for the snacks,” you’re part of the story.
Is there a cosplay competition?
Yes! We’re hosting a cosplay parade that’ll loop through Luton Point and finish on our main stage. Prizes? Maybe. Applause? Definitely.
Is it family-friendly?
Absolutely. We’ll have a kids' crafts zone, colouring tables, and plenty of safe, friendly spaces. Think “cosplay meets colouring books” – perfect for little superheroes.
What’s with the “Heroes Against Hate” slogan?
We’re more than just fandoms and fun – we’re about fighting negativity, celebrating diversity, and supporting mental health.
No trolls. No toxicity. Just good vibes.
Will there be stalls and things to buy?
Yes! Local artists, comic creators, makers, and geeky vendors will be there with awesome stuff you won’t find in high street shops.
What time is everything happening?
We’ll share a full schedule soon, but doors open at 10 AM and we’ll be going strong till around 6 PM.
Can I just turn up on the day?
Yes – no ticket needed. But if you want early info or updates, follow us on socials!
